Cheer Leisure started with a cheerleader, an idea, and a family willing to see where it could go.
Meet Caroline
Cheer Leisure began with our daughter, Caroline.
Caroline has been part of the All-Star cheer world since 2021. Like so many cheer athletes, the sport quickly became much more than an activity she went to a few nights a week. Cheer became part of who she was.
Practices. Tumbling. Competitions. Travel weekends. Teammates who became best friends. Watching cheer videos in the car. Talking about cheer at dinner. And, of course, figuring out what to wear to all of it.
And Caroline loves all things cheer — the energy, the bows, the glitter, the rhinestones, and everything that makes the cheer world uniquely cheer.
But as she got older, her personal style started evolving too.
She became drawn to the clean, simple look of premium athletic and lifestyle brands. She loved that aesthetic, but there was always something missing:
She still wanted to rep cheer.
Not necessarily with a giant cheer graphic across the front. She wanted something more subtle. Something another cheerleader might notice from across the room and immediately understand.
Something that said cheer without having to scream it.
That idea eventually became Cheer Leisure.
From an Idea to a Family Business
What started as conversations with Caroline around our house became sketches, logos, samples, fabric choices, product ideas, and a lot of opinions around the kitchen table.
And somewhere along the way, we realized we weren't just talking about an idea anymore.
We were building a brand.
Caroline became the inspiration and creative voice behind Cheer Leisure. As her parents, we became the team helping her turn that vision into something real. Even her brother (reluctantly at times) has been pulled into the family business.
We joke about our titles — Caroline is our Chief Executive Officer, Mom is our Chief Cheer Mom Officer, Dad is our Chief Cheer Dad Officer, and her brother gets the honor of being Cheer Bro Officer — but Cheer Leisure really is a family project.
And that's important to us.
We're not outsiders trying to market to the cheer community. We're a cheer family ourselves. We've spent the weekends in convention centers. We've made the long drives. We've celebrated the hits and talked through the tough practices. We've watched the friendships form, the confidence grow, and the sport become part of our family's life.
Cheer Leisure grew out of that experience.
Why “Cheer Leisure”?
Because cheer doesn't stop when practice ends.
It's the oversized sweatshirt on the drive home. The tank you throw on for tumbling. The leggings you wear through an entire competition weekend. The hat at the airport Monday morning. It's what you wear to school, to grab coffee, to hang out with teammates, and everywhere else life happens.
We wanted to create pieces that feel connected to cheer without looking like traditional cheer merchandise.
Premium. Athletic. Comfortable. Understated.
And then we add a little cheer.
Sometimes it's a “Slay” detail tucked somewhere unexpected. Sometimes it's our Lucky Duck — a little nod to the cheer world that athletes and families instantly understand. Sometimes it's a detail you might not even notice until you put the piece on.
Those little touches are intentional.
They're our way of taking the things Caroline loves about cheer and bringing them into the clean, elevated style she wants to wear every day.
It's a little bit IYKYK.
You don't have to be walking into practice for someone in the cheer world to look at what you're wearing and think:
Yep. She's one of us.
That's what cheer lifestyle means to us.
And that's where Cheer Leisure lives.
Designed From Inside the Cheer World
Caroline isn't just the inspiration behind Cheer Leisure. She's part of the process.
She sees the samples. She has opinions about the fits. She helps us think about what athletes actually want to wear. And sometimes she tells Mom and Dad that an idea simply isn't going to work.
She's usually right.
That perspective matters because we're building Cheer Leisure for a community we're actually part of.
Every piece has to pass a pretty simple test:
Would Caroline actually wear it?
If the answer isn't yes, it doesn't belong in Cheer Leisure.
More Than What Happens on the Mat
One of the things we've come to appreciate most about cheer is everything it teaches beyond the skills themselves.
Confidence. Resilience. Commitment. Trust. Learning how to fall, get back up, and try again. Learning how to perform under pressure and how to be part of something bigger than yourself.
Those lessons follow athletes long after the music stops.
That's the spirit we want Cheer Leisure to represent.
Not perfection.
Not just winning.
Showing up. Putting in the work. Supporting the people beside you. And carrying yourself with confidence wherever you go.
Just Getting Started
Cheer Leisure is still young, and that's part of what makes this so much fun.
We're learning. We're experimenting. We're listening to athletes and cheer families. We're celebrating every order, every tagged photo, and every time we spot someone wearing CL somewhere we didn't expect.
And Caroline gets to watch an idea that started with her become something real.
We don't know exactly how big Cheer Leisure will become.
But we know what we want it to stand for.
A brand created inside the cheer community, for the cheer community — inspired by the athletes who give so much to this sport and deserve something that represents the life they've built around it.
